Terrific Broth is a nutrient-rich bacterial growth medium widely used in laboratory research and biopharmaceutical applications. As an enhanced version of LB broth, it promotes faster bacterial growth, higher cell densities, and improved protein yields. Animal-free Terrific Broth contains peptone, yeast extract, potassium dihydrogen phosphate, and potassium phosphate dibasic, providing essential nutrients while maintaining an optimal pH for bacterial growth.

Animal-Free Terrific Broth eliminates the risk of pathogens such as prions, viruses, and other microorganisms from animal sources, ensuring a safer and more reliable culture environment. This product also helps customers comply with regulatory standards in biopharmaceutical and food production.

Animal-free Terrific Broth Formulation – 1 Liter Preparation:

• Peptone: 12 g
• Yeast Extract: 24 g
• Potassium Phosphate Dibasic: 9.4 g
• Potassium Phosphate Monobasic: 2.2 g
• Glycerol: 4 ml (not included in the pouch)

Preparing Animal-free Terrific Broth:

1. Weigh 47.6 g of Animal-free Terrific Broth powder and add it to 900 ml of deionized water in a container subsequently.
2. Add 4 ml of glycerol to the container.
3. Mix well using a magnetic stirrer until the powder is completely dissolved.
4. Adjust the pH to 7.4 if necessary.
5. Add deionized water to bring the volume to 1 liter.
6. Sterilize the solution by autoclaving at 121°C for 20 minutes, or by filtration if preferred.
