HiPacked™ SP CEX columns are prepacked cation exchange chromatography columns filled with a negatively charged resin that attracts positively charged macromolecules from samples. For example, a protein or antibody becomes positively charged when the buffer pH is below its isoelectric point. They are ideal for capture and intermediate purification in research and process development. The resin is a cross-linked agarose matrix functionalized with sulfonate (SP) groups, offering high flow rates, strong binding, and excellent chemical stability. HiPacked™ SP CEX columns perform reliably across a broad buffer range and are well-suited for scalable purification workflows. Each column features a 1/16″ Fingertight male connector on top and a bottom end that fits securely into a UV cell with a 1/16″ female port. They are fully compatible with GE ÄKTA systems—Prime, Explorer, Start, Go, Pure, and Avant—as well as other FPLC platforms.
