Animal-Free LB Broth provides a nutrient-rich medium essential for bacterial growth, particularly effective for cultivating E. coli and other gram-negative bacteria. There are three common LB formulations based on the sodium chloride quantity—Miller, Lennox, and Luria—each catering to your different needs.

Animal-Free LB Broth (Lennox Formulation) – 1 Liter Preparation:

• Peptone: 10 g
• Yeast Extract: 5 g
• Sodium Chloride: 5 g

Preparation Instructions:

1. Weigh 20 g of Animal-free LB Broth Powder and ass it to 900 ml of deionized water.
2. Mix well with a magnetic stirrer until the powder is completely dissolved.
3. Adjust the pH to 7.4 if necessary.
4. Add deionized water to bring the total volume to 1 liter.
5. Sterilize the solution by autoclaving at 121°C for 20 minutes, or by filtration if preferred.
